Saddled In

With over a billion dollars in closed sales, Nancy Batchelor is as big as it gets in South Florida’s competitive real estate market. As a top associate at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty for over 20 years, she has excelled at finding dream pads for celebs, CEOs, and world elite alike. Here is how she stays on top of her game.

What keeps you competitive? Anything with a horse. I watch videos of my riding lessons and past shows of me riding, always trying to improve. I’m trying to get better at riding since it doesn’t get easier and you are working as a team with the horse. No two rides are the same.

Where do you get your fashion fix? Bal Harbour, of course, Design District, Saks. Love fitted and comfortable with a twist, Gucci, and nothing with too wild of colors. I love shoes and handbags and clothes with timeless style. I love the Jackie O look.

This fall and winter season we will find you in… Miami Beach and Wellington, the Horse Capital of the World and home to the Winter Equestrian Festival. Or Aspen for a ski trip and Ocean Reef Club in the Keys, but it might be hard to leave since I like it in Miami so much.

If you had to quarantine again, where would you go? I’d stay at my waterfront home on Pine Tree Drive where we have the boat, gym in the garage, and a pool. Book on your side table? “Hello Fears” by Michelle Poler.

Charity you support. Sylvester Cancer Center.

Your last cocktail/meal would be? For a last cocktail I’d go to the Living Room at Faena. Joe’s Stone Crab would be my last meal. Nothing original here, but it’s a family favorite.

If you could spend the afternoon with anyone in the world it would be… Tony Robbins. What are you grateful for? I am happy that I have beat cancer and thrilled that so many great people are moving to South Florida. Of course, I’m proud that I have been married 29 years and have three incredibly nice kids, and a job I love that is exciting every day.
